This year Mullet have introduced a new model to their range - the Bean Stalk.
This is a board that pretty much anyone can have a crack on, no matter what your skill level.
The whole aim at Mullet is to keep surfing fresh and produce boards to get you out there more often.
Using a traditional Mini Mal shape, the Bean Stalk is guaranteed to have you hogging line ups and catching more waves than anyone no matter how small or weak the waves are.
Mullet say they also found there was a bit of a gap in their range for the beginner to intermediate surfer, so if that’s where you’re at, this is the board that will have you ripping sooner rather than later!
Shape-wise, these templates have a bit of extra volume in the nose, so they paddle like a rocket and you’re guaranteed to be catching plenty of waves. Once you’re on your feet, they are extremely stable, but still refined enough through the rails you can put them through some turns.
At the back-end, they’ve kept it pretty straightforward with the traditional thruster set-up as standard. If you’re after a bit of variety, it also goes good with a set of twin keels or finless.
The Bean Stalk is ideal for advanced riders of all rider sizes although if you’re just getting started a 7’0 would be best suited to beginners up to 70kg
